Your prayers help heal the abused…
“My husband told me to leave our home because I could not give him children,” said 31-year-old Pitchatou in Benin. “My husband’s parents and family abused me because of my barrenness. In my desperation, I watched the JESUS film when it was shown in my village. Watching the life of Christ, I received hope for my life. I gave my heart and life to God and knew He would take care of my needs. I am now married again and expecting my first child!”
Praise God for the new life Pitchatou has in Christ with her husband.
“I have three children with three different fathers,” said a 30-year-old woman in Guatemala. “My children were the result of abuse from different family members. I have suffered greatly. When I couldn’t take any more, I escaped my village and family with my three children in the night. We crossed a river and mountain and saw a light. We followed that light to a church. I was afraid, but they invited us to join them in their service. They gave us food to eat and a place to sleep. They shared Jesus with me. I cried and shared my life story with them. After watching the JESUS film which they showed that night, I accepted Jesus into my heart and life. The church has provided a place for us to live. I now serve God through this church and with the JESUS Film team.”Praise God for the care He and the church now provide for this woman and her children.
“My parents were always fighting,” said 26-year-old Jessica in Ecuador. “My father moved to Spain, which was difficult for me because my mother abused me and I missed my father. Throughout my mother’s abuse, I continued my studies to prepare for university, even though she didn’t support me. During this difficult time in my life, the JESUS Film team came to show the JESUS film in my neighborhood. Many accepted Christ into their hearts, and I was one of them! I am now married to a wonderful man who also loves the Lord. We have a beautiful little girl. Our family is very active in our local church.”
Pray for Jessica and her husband as they minister in their church and share Christ with their neighbors.
